How do I determine what memorial I should purchase?
When picking out a memorial, we recommend considering the following to best determine which memorial will meet your needs at the best price:
1. Does your cemetery require a certain style?
2. What shape or style most interests you?
3. What color granite do you want?
4. Any artwork, or epitaph that you absolutely want?
Do all granite colors cost the same?
No, all granite colors do not cost the same. Domestic grey granite, which we source from Elberton, GA is the most economical color we offer. Grey granite from Elberton, GA is a superb quality of grey granite and will withstand the test of time. The economical pricing of grey granite is the reason you see primarily grey memorials within a cemetery. If you choose a color other than grey, you can anticipate a significant increase in pricing.
What are the most common types of memorials?
Although we can create a wide variety of custom memorials, there is a line of traditional shaped memorials. The traditional memorials are listed below in general order of least expensive to most expensive:
Flat Marker (flush to ground)
Bevel Marker (Slightly slanted front, with 2" drop back to front)
Slant Memorial (shorter upright with 45 degree angle face)

How is a monument installed?
Our team at Blue Ridge Monument Inc., take great pride in our installations. We coordinate with the cemetery's point of contact to ensure the memorial is placed in the correct location. We run a line from corner markers or existing memorials to keep a clean and straight row. We dig and pour a concrete foundation, and then the memorial itself is installed on top of that foundation. The concrete foundation is essential to reduce the risk of settling or tilting of a memorial. We stand behind our installations and is one of the things the separates us the most from any other monument company in the area.
What is the process once a memorial is purchased?
When purchasing a memorial from Blue Ridge Monument Inc., we will complete a contract outlining the details of your order and collect a deposit of half of the total balance. We accept payments in the form of cash, check, money order or cashier's check. Once the contract is complete and deposit received, we will create a proof of the layout for your memorial. This proof can be modified until it meets your approval. Once the memorial is completed and installed, we will send an invoice for the remaining balance to be paid.
